I am shouting this at the top of my voice.  I dare say the just concluded year has been my most amazing year yet. So many intriguing stories I am reminiscing upon right now, and boy! I did outdo yourself. Over the years, I have learned the act of thanksgiving, even in the face of obscurity. As I count my blessings in this new year I am counting you all. I am so grateful for having such amazing people like you in my life. I am grateful for my journey and how far God has brought me.  I am grateful for you all who constantly hold my hands as I walk through life and it's many phases. I am so up in the sky now because you all gave me wings to fly.  So, I would just share a little good news with you about Jesus. Jesus

MY WORSHIP CORNER

Good morning Tribe!  I trust you all are doing ok today. I am well, thank you. I am introducing you or should I say, reintroducing you to my worship corner this morning ( please search through the blog and read up on all our post tagged "My worship corner").  In the face of uncertainty, and with all  that's happening around the world, one is bound to lose Faith and give in to fear, but Grace is made available and so we are reaffirming God's Word today.  "For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, and of love,  and of a sound mind". 2  Timothy 1:7 As you set out today, be reminded that Christ alone is our hope and in Him is the foundation for everything whatsoever. Take some time out to meditate on this song. I hope it blesses you as much as it has blessed me. Your worship is your weapon. Child of God, breath on it! No Longer slave: Lyrics by Bethel Music. You unravel me, with a melody You surround me with a song Of deliverance, from my enemies T

NIGERIA'S TRAVAIL AND THE MORNING AFTER!

If you are in Nigeria or any surface of the earth, You would probably have heard of the slogan by now. Yes, the same one that has been on our lips for a long time now and became more popular in October 2020, the #ENDSARS slogan.  The ENDSARS movement is created to stand against police brutality in Nigeria, particularly calling for an end to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a controversial unit of the Nigeria Police with a long record of abuses.  In the past two weeks, Nigerians have relentlessly made their voices heard in form of protest both online and offline. We have protested against this endless brutality and inhumane treatment.  A peaceful protest sprung up. Nigerians unanimously came together for a good course and hit the street to demand their rights. People came out en masse all over the country, marching for justice.                                                              Gallant Nigerian youths                                                                    The

INCREASED INVESTMENT IN MENTAL HEALTH

Image
Hey Tribe! How are you all doing? I hope you are having a good time enjoying the weekend. How are you? I guess you read that and answered silently within you 'I am fine'.  Today is World Mental Health Day. Again I ask you "How are you"? Are you fine? Or that's an answer we all have come to adopt even when we are dying inside.  World Mental Health Day is observed on 10 October every year, with the overall objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilizing effort in support of mental health. The theme for this year's World Mental Health Day campaign is Increased investment in mental health.  Every human being has mental health and it's just as important as our physical health. Mental health refers to cognitive, behavioral, and emotional well-being. It is all about how people think, feel, and behave. People sometimes use the term "mental health" to mean the absence of a mental disorder.  Mental health problems can

OCTOBER REBIRTH

The month of October is upon us Tribe! I am shouting this at the top of my voice. Happy New month to my special blog Tribe and those visiting this blog for the first time. It's the fifth day of the month already I know but I wanted to take the time out to welcome you to this special month and also the last quarter of the year 2020. It is my birth month Tribe. No, calm down it's not my birthday yet, it's still very far away.   I am thankful for this new month. I am thankful for us coming this far to the last quarter of the year. 2020 has been my most amazing year yet. Did I hear you say "with all these COVID19 issues? Yes, even in the midst of chaos 2020 has been amazing. It's been all about self discovery and mind renewal for me and I know nothing can be more beautiful than the journey to self discovery.  We have just two months left in the year and there is still so much more we can achieve and conquer before the year ends. Is your strength failing and it seems li

NIGERIA AT SIXTY

Happy Nigeria's Independence Tribe! I am shouting this at the top of my voice, please join me. Wow! Sixty good years of being free from colonial rule, and we are super excited about this. Today is not for complaining and wailing about the things that aren't working out and for Nigeria but a day to just sit, relax, and reminisce on our journey and how far we've come as a nation. If Nigeria was human, she would have retired from active service by now and resting her bones while she enjoyed the dividends of her years of labor and having her family surround her with love and too many Owanbe (party) to attend.  Sadly, this is not the storyline for Nigeria but we will celebrate regardless. Are there security challenges?  Poverty in the land?  Unemployment? Corruption? Food insecurity? Terrorism?  Poor Education?  Inequality?  High level of child mortality?  Tribalism? Home violence and many more? Yes, we will celebrate regardless. As we mark sixty years of independence today, we
