MERRY CHRISTMAS AND THE MORNING AFTER
I trust you are still in the spirit of Christmas.
How was the Christmas day celebration at your end?
I hope you were able to find some time to relax, spend time with family and friends, and just generally have fun.
Well, I spent my day resting at home until Matana, my four years old reminded me in the evening that I promised an ice cream date for Christmas, so I had to drag myself out to fulfill that promise.
And I was glad I did because the joy on their faces was priceless, and Matana actually hugged me and said "wow mum you did it" turns out Mummy has a track record of not keeping to date promises. *covers face*.
Meanwhile, today is boxing day, December 26th, in case you have forgotten.
When I was a child I used to think boxing day was for boxing, like an actual fight and I always wondered why people had to fight just after the merriment of Christmas day. Until I dared to ask my Dad and he explained what It meant, the box is for gifting and not fighting. Boxing day is a day when we had over gift boxes for our loved ones or unwrap the gift boxes that are usually placed under the Christmas tree. Even though these days, people just wrap empty boxes and place them under the Christmas tree. My Chest!
Anyways, it's all for fun and beautification I guess.
What are you boxing to someone or what will you be unboxing today?
Well, all I have to give on this great occasion is me, myself, and I.
