"Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
O'er the fields we go
Laughing all the way

Bells on bob tails ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A sleighing song tonight

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh..."

This is my favorite Christmas song at the moment, even though I only just learned the right words of that song. You don't want to know the messed up lyrics that have stuck in my head right from my village girl days *na she chew the shoe, as nepa come take the light, something something something something something dey your head*. You know what? Let's stick with the original and correct lyrics as I am not prepared to drag my village elders in the mud today.

It is five days to go and Sunday before Christmas and I cannot help but be joyful and thankful for the gift of Jesus Christ to the world. Yes, I learned in Matana's (my four years old daughter) class during Sunday school that Jesus is the first Christmas gift and God chose to give Him to us because of His unconditional love towards us.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 Study Bible

Did I just learn that? No, but having to relearn at that level just gives a whole new understanding. So pure, innocent, and divine. You should try it sometimes. Even though Matana did not fail to report that her mummy hasn't given her a Christmas gift, or even set up a Christmas tree yet. While Ari was beside her along smiling like agbalumo (cherry fruit)

Talking about gifts! Have you started receiving yours or you are still trusting God? Lolz.

Well, I have started receiving mine. Please keep them coming.

More important than receiving is giving. God already set an example by giving His only Son to mankind. Imagine that? What a great sacrifice!

Christmas is all about giving and if we must live a God fulfilled life giving should be part of our living. It doesn't have to be elaborate (not that I won't accept the mansion if you give me one) you can give from the little you have. It could even be used items that are still in GOOD CONDITION. I started this practice when I first got married six years ago, now my girls have also joined in the course and I tell You there is nothing as rewarding as knowing that You could put a smile on another man's face and even make their lives sweeter. Oh, what a feeling!

You might be thinking you do not have anything to give or you barely have enough for yourself, but it is beyond giving in the physical sometimes.

A simple smile or "how are you" could be just what someone out there needs to pull through the hurdle of 2020. Please don't hold back.

Go the extra mile for someone, the world wants you to believe people do not deserve the extra mile, please don't let them win. We all need an extra mile.

Give a smile

Pact someone on the back

Hold someone's hand in prayer.

Give a hug ( I've been getting plenty by the way),

Say hello

Be a blessing.

Merry Christmas.

I dare say I LOVE YOU
