It's a new week and the last week in May, and guess what? Drum rolllllllllllllll it's our anniversary week!

Oh yes! I am super excited. Finally, the dream came to pass. Oh, it's no longer a dream but a reality. First I was worried if I would ever be able to push the publish button for the first blog post but I did (after much threat from over concerned citizens of the Seme Tribe of course), then came the fear of  “will this even last at all (don't blame me, I have the highest world record of too many abandoned projects). After almost 365 days, here we are still standing strong. Since May the 26th is just around the corner, we might as well do the anniversary post today. Just kidding! We will still have our anniversary post and from you all. Please keep sending in your feedback to

So as we count down, I am encouraged, not just for The Tribe but for every other thing and I want you to be too.

Life is a journey and until you get to your destination, you never stop going. You can pause to catch your breath along the way, you can even derail and almost forget you are on a journey, but you never stop.

One thing that could be a deterrent to your journey is the fear of failing, especially if you have failed before. I dare say, that is the greatest fear ever. Imagine finally getting yourself up to try out something again, and that little voice come to tell you, “remember we've been through this road before, one more step and you will fail”

You may fail. It is possible you will not, but you will never know unless you try. So why don't you just give it a try and damn the consequences?

En, did I say it will be easy?

No, it won't. In short, it is even more difficult because now all eyes are on you, especially the ones who have always been there at every of your venture.

How about all those people who are looking up to you for the hope of a future. Sometimes I want to say, everybody answers your father’s name abeg, but then you remember it's not about you but the purpose to which God sent you so I chill.

When the past keeps calling, reminding you of the things that can't be done, remember the words of Brother Paul to the Philippians:

12. Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
13. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I d: forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead,
14. I press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God had called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:12-14
New International Version (NIV)

Henceforth, press forward. Even if you fall, you are guaranteed of falling forward.

I wish you the most blissful and productive week.

Let the “Congratulations” start rolling in the comment section.
